An Australian driver's license is sufficient. However, be careful of driving conditions in the Outback. These conditions include dirt roads and extreme temperatures, both very high and very low.
Most of our 4WD vehicles come complete with four-wheel drive, high clearance, and off-road tyres. This will allow you to access most of the Outback's rough terrain in relative safety.
We offer various insurance options to protect you and your vehicle during emergencies while you are traveling. Please call for details on this or read our terms and conditions. Our insurance covers damages, small or large to the car and third parties. You won’t have to pay anything if you are involved in an accident, as long as you are not using the vehicle in an unauthorised way. There are 2 exclusions in the insurance. They include ruptured tyres (wear and tear, and punctures are covered) and underbody, which tend to happen if a vehicle is not driven carefully.
You will need to be over 25 to hire a 4WD. For other cars, you need to be at least 21 years old and hold a license, provisional or full for at least 3 years. Additional charges for drivers under 21 may apply.
